This week we sat down with one of the most inspiring ladies, Toni Everard and we are thrilled to announce Toni will be joining us here at Team Sowelu Wellness!

What started your coaching journey?

When I came to realise that I hadn’t achieved all that I knew I was capable of and that I was the one who was holding me back. I always had an interest in personal development and found that people were drawn to open up to me. I had a real desire to create a life that was meaningful to me, that involved helping others and to be a role model to my 13 yo daughter. From that desire I met people who guided me to learning more about NLP and from then I knew I had found my path!

What one rule do you live by?

I always have goals. Both big picture (5-10 years) and short term and I remind myself of them daily so I can ensure that I am taking action each day that gets me closer towards achieving them.

What tips do you have for staying healthy on a budget?

Being aware of what you are grateful for everyday is such a powerful tool for maintaining positive thought and emotions and it is completely free.

What is the biggest coaching industry misconception that you are constantly myth busting?

Change has to take a long time.
Change can happen in an instant and it often does. You just need to be willing to change now.

What are your go to meals / snacks when you’re super busy?

I love fruit, almonds, carrots and hummus. Anything simple for me works best. Cooking isn’t high on my priorities and I’d have to admit my partner is the better cook!

How do you contribute to the health and wellness of those around you?

Everything that we think, say and do creates energy. Thinking and talking negatively has a detrimental effect on not only you but those around you. I encourage positive conversations and always focus on what can be done and learned from any situation. I have the intention of leaving everyone I meet in a better frame of mind than when I met them.

Have you read any inspiring books on healthy mindset lately?

I love audio books and always listen in the car. One of my favourites that I have listened to again recently is The Values Factor – Dr John De Martini. Understanding our highest values really is the key to leading an inspired and fulfilling life and it is one of the areas I most love working with my clients on.

What does your morning routine look like?

I always set my day up for success. First thing I do when I awake is to be aware of what I am grateful for. I then drink 2 big glasses of water before filling in my journal that includes writing what I’m grateful for, what my main goals are, what 3 things can I do today to get me closer, what 3 thoughts are aligned with these goals and any other notes or thoughts I have . Writing with pen and paper is a powerful way to connect and program your mind to achieving what you want.

What is your favourite wellness tip?

Choose who you spend your time with carefully. You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Consider whether you are spending time with people who inspire you to be your best self or if they make it easy for you to lower your standards.

Who are your wellness hero’s?

Tony Robbins is one of the world’s leading Life and Business Strategists and his teachings are based on NLP.  This man has created an incredible life for himself and his live events are amazing.

Dr John De Martini who overcame many childhood obstacles and a near death experience as a teenager only to completely turn his life around, become a Chiropractor and go on to teach and inspire 1000’s through speaking and writing books.

There are so many inspiring people that I follow – Gabby Bernstein #spiritjunkie, Marie Forleo, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Brian Tracy, Gary Vaynerchuck.

I believe we are so blessed to be living in an age where we have so many people available to us through the internet to learn and grow  from.
