This week we are thrilled to introduce you to Sophie Nash. 
Sophie is a brilliant Remedial Massage Therapist and is the newest part of team Sowelu Wellness.

Sophie graduated from the Australian Institute of Fitness earlier this year and since then she's been working with the Port Power boys and SANFL! 
Sophie is a bubble of fun, mixed in with her gentle, caring nature but make no mistake, Sophie's strength is in her hands!

What started your health and wellness journey / passion?

I love working with people and wanted to be working towards optimal health. Growing up I always gave my family massages and loved it. I was unsure of what it was exactly that I wanted to do for awhile, the more I looked into massage therapy, the more it ticked all of my boxes.

What’s one health, diet or fitness rule do you live by?

I have always made sure I make time for sleep. With your body doing so much repair work during this time, particularly your muscles, I like to have an early night where ever I can.

What tips do you have for staying healthy on a budget?

I love going to markets for all of my fresh food. Gepps Cross market is fantastic for it.
Once my fridge is stocked up on fresh fruit and veg I’m set up for a nutritious week.

What are your go to meals / snacks when you’re super busy?

I love crackers with tomato, tuna, spinach and maybe even some avocado. Its healthy, quick, easy and delicious.

How do you contribute to the health and wellness of those around you?

I am always giving them tips and encouragement where I can, and of course a little head massage never goes astray.

What would a day in your diet diary look like?

Maybe some nice muesli with berries and Greek yoghurt. Some crackers with tomato, spinach and tuna for lunch and some home made rice paper rolls (cold rolls) to finish off the day right.
For snacks I like fresh fruit and nuts

What is your favourite wellness tip?

Listen to your body as much as you can.
