Chronic Fatigue Symptom
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) involves fatigue that is persistent and sufficiently intense to reduce normal daily activities by at least 50% for a minimum of six months. Women account for 70% of cases of CFS.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome may be preceded by or associated with:
- Acute viral illness
- Chronic health problems
- Emotional factors (anxiety, depression)
- Micronutrient deficiencies
- Environmental pollutants and contaminants
- General poor health and compromised immunity
At Sowelu, your initial treatment plan for CFS will include minor diet changes to support healthy, balanced energy production, as well as supplementation of essential vitamins and minerals to support mitochondrial energy production, enhance immune function and stimulate normal detoxification of heavy metals and moderate amounts of exercise. The treatment of CFS is done in progression so as not to cause a relapse or place additional stress or cause further exhaustion. As you progress in your treatment we will increase exercise, increase dietary changes and may even put you through a detox program to ensure all toxins, including heavy metals are removed from the body. Additional testing such as hair mineral analysis may be required for those suffering CFS. Duration of treatment will vary for each person.
